Peptide Reconstitution Guide
Step-by-step instructions on reconstituting lyophilized research peptides with Bacteriostatic Water, calculating exact concentrations, and maintaining sample integrity for The PED Shop.
Reconstitution Workflow
Follow this standard operating procedure to prepare research samples safely
Gather your lyophilized peptide vial, Bacteriostatic Water (BAC water), alcohol prep wipes, and sterile U-100 insulin syringes.
Swab the rubber stoppers of both vials thoroughly with alcohol. Equalize air pressure before drawing diluent into syringe.
Inject BAC water slowly down the interior glass wall of the peptide vial. Avoid spraying directly onto the freeze-dried puck.
Gently roll or swirl the vial between your palms until the solution becomes completely clear. Never shake the vial forcefully.

Storage & Preservation Protocol
Lyophilized Powder: Store freeze-dried vials in a cool, dark location away from direct sunlight. For extended storage (over 3 months), store at -20°C.
Reconstituted Liquid Solution: Once Bacteriostatic Water is added, store the vial refrigerated at 2°C to 8°C (36°F – 46°F). Reconstituted peptide solutions maintain maximum chemical stability for up to 30 to 60 days when refrigerated.
